Guide
How Tape works
Tape reads any public stock in seconds — with full wrapper details when the ticker exists on Robinhood Chain. Here is exactly how to use it.
01Open Tape — no wallet required
Every browser session gets 2 free analyses automatically. No connection, no signature, no signup.
Optionally, click Connect Wallet and sign the plain-text verification message. Signing in grants 1 extra trial credit and unlocks your watchlist and history.
02Type any ticker (or paste a contract)
In the input field, either:
- Type any public stock ticker (example: AAPL, NVDA, TSLA, NFLX, DIS), or
- Paste the contract address of a Robinhood Chain Stock Token
If the ticker exists on Robinhood Chain, Tape resolves it to the exact canonical wrapper automatically. If it doesn't, Tape still runs every other panel — you just won't see wrapper details for a token that doesn't exist.
03Click Generate
Tape returns a structured report with these panels, in reading order:
What the underlying company actually does, in plain language. The natural starting point before you look at wrapper structure or price.
If the ticker has a canonical Robinhood Chain Stock Token: the contract address, issuer, redemption mechanism, custody, jurisdictional gating, and the fact these are tokenized debt securities — not equity. If no wrapper exists, a short factual note appears instead.
Recent headlines and public sentiment about the company, summarized factually. Not a prediction.
Price, market cap, simple ratios, recent fundamentals, next earnings date, and dividend details when available.
A longer-timeframe chart plus a 5-day chart with today's change, 5-day range, and a volatility-trend read. Context, not a trade signal.
Wall Street analyst target price, range, and analyst counts from Yahoo Finance — always attributed to analysts, never framed as Tape's own recommendation.
A compact comparison table (ticker, company, price, market cap) of a few peers in the same sector.
The three most recent SEC Form 4 filings pulled from EDGAR.
04Read the verdict
Every analysis ends with a single plain-language line that ties everything together — what you would actually be holding, what the market is saying, and where to look for deeper research if you want it.
05Save, share, revisit
Signed in? Star an analysis to add it to your Watchlist. Your History panel lists the 20 most recent analyses tied to your session — click any row to re-run it (free within the 60-minute cache window, 1 credit after). Every analysis also has a public Share link with a server-generated social preview image (verdict + sparkline) so you can post it anywhere.
Credits
Each fresh analysis costs 1 credit. If you or anyone else analyzes the same ticker within an hour, the cached result is returned for free. Every browser session gets 2 free credits — no wallet needed. Connecting a wallet adds 1 more trial credit.
In live beta — full rollout and revenue system implementation in July.
What Tape does not do
Tape does not give investment advice. Tape does not predict prices. Tape does not recommend buying or selling anything. Every analysis is a factual read, not a signal. Always do your own research before making any financial decision.
