What Tape is
Tape is an analysis tool for public company stocks, with first-class support for the tokenized wrappers issued on Robinhood Chain. Type any ticker and Tape returns a structured, plain-language read on the company, the market's current story, the equity fundamentals, and — when the ticker exists on Robinhood Chain — the exact wrapper structure you'd be holding.
Why Tape exists
Robinhood Chain launched its public mainnet on July 1, 2026, bringing tokenized Stock Tokens to over 120 countries. These tokens are structured as tokenized debt securities, not equity. Holders get exposure to price movement but no shareholder rights, no voting rights, and no direct ownership claim on the underlying shares.
Most buyers do not know this distinction going in. Tape makes it clear every time — and now works for any public ticker, tokenized or not, so the same factual read is available whether you're evaluating a Robinhood Chain wrapper or just researching a stock.
What an analysis contains
Every analysis returns the same panels, in reading order:
What the underlying company actually does — sector, industry, and a short factual summary stripped of corporate marketing language. Sourced from Yahoo Finance's company profile data.
If the ticker has a canonical Robinhood Chain Stock Token, Tape shows the exact contract address, issuer, redemption mechanism, custody, jurisdictional gating, and the debt-vs-equity distinction. If no wrapper exists, this panel is replaced with a short factual note that the ticker is not currently tokenized on Robinhood Chain — every other panel still runs.
Recent news headlines and public sentiment about the underlying company, synthesized into a plain-language summary of the current story.
Price, market capitalization, simple valuation ratios, and recent fundamentals, plus the next earnings date and dividend details (yield and ex-dividend date) when available. Clear "no dividend" or "not available" states when the data isn't there.
A longer-timeframe historical chart and a factual read of what it shows. Data may be delayed.
A 5-day chart (intraday where available, daily fallback otherwise) with today's change, the 5-day range, and a volatility-trend read. Factual and non-prescriptive — not a trade setup.
Wall Street analyst target price, high/low range, and analyst counts pulled from Yahoo Finance, plus a short third-party-framed summary. Always attributed to analysts — Tape itself never issues buy/sell language.
A compact comparison table of a few peers in the same sector (ticker, company, price, market cap) so you can place the stock in context at a glance.
The three most recent SEC Form 4 filings pulled from EDGAR, showing insider buys and sells with dates and share counts.
All panels are combined into a single structured report ending in a plain-language verdict.
Data sources
Tape uses publicly available data. Company profile, quote, chart, analyst consensus, earnings and dividend data come from Yahoo Finance's free endpoints and may be delayed 15 minutes or more. Insider transactions come from SEC EDGAR (Form 4 filings). Wrapper facts and canonical Robinhood Chain contract addresses are maintained from Robinhood's public disclosures. Tape does not have access to paid data terminals.
Caching
To keep the product fast and sustainable, Tape caches each analysis for 60 minutes. If you or another user analyzes the same ticker within that window, the cached result is returned instantly at no cost. Fresh analyses run after the cache expires.
Credits and cost
Every fresh analysis costs 1 credit. Cached results (within a 60-minute window) cost nothing. Each browser session receives 2 free credits automatically — no wallet required. Signing in with a wallet grants 1 additional trial credit and links analyses to your session.

Star any analysis to save it to your watchlist, visible on the main page while you're signed in.
The 20 most recent analyses tied to your session, with one-click re-runs (free within the 60-minute cache window, 1 credit after).
Every analysis has a public read-only share link with a server-generated social preview image (verdict + sparkline). Anyone can view a shared analysis without spending credits.
Security
Tape uses Sign-In With Ethereum (SIWE) to verify wallet ownership before any account-specific action. Signing in does not authorize any transaction, approve any token spend, or grant Tape access to your funds. It only proves you control the connected wallet.
Limitations
Tape is an analysis tool, not a financial advisor. Nothing Tape produces is investment advice, a price prediction, or a recommendation to buy or sell. Data coverage varies by ticker — recently IPO'd companies, foreign issuers, or thinly covered names may have missing analyst, dividend, or insider data. Panels degrade gracefully when a source has no data.
